In the course we have covered a lot of ground in terms of literature and theory (with regards to globalization and the “world system).
Following the format on the syllabus, write an 6-8 page essay reflecting on how at least 3 works respond to or address globalization (what Wallerstein refers to as the “world system”). As seen through these literatures, what are globalizations dangers as well as its benefits? Must there always be “winners” and “losers,” or do some authors suggest there is hope for more equality and sustainability? Why do you think they would take these positions?
